Pomegranates are one of the oldest natural remedies known to human being. There are sayings "before there was medicine, there was food", and pomegranates top the list when it comes to ancient healing benefits. In history, pomegranates are closely related with religious culture like Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism. Even these religions have their belief and practice when using pomegranates as food and medicine. Therefore, this article will discuss the pomegranates in the eye of al-Quran and its nutritional value. Apart from its nutritious value, the pomegranate also has medical benefits that can treating and preventing disease naturally.
